everything the tool suggested is completely off. I think that the tool was not able to scan the website at all and therefore made all kinds of non-sense recommendations.

It provides generic recommendations, such as crawl your website with screaming frog, consult google pagespeed etc. Specific into that it should fetch from the website to be analysed are plain wrong. For example, it got the page title wrong, the meta description.
